Make orxonox distributable

I tried to create the infrastructure to build Debian/Ubuntu packages of Orxonox. The data package is done, but the application is nearly undistributable from a Unix/Linux point of view. Please add/change the following: * do not write files everywhere. All user configuration (and logs) should be writ...

Yes deleting keybindings.ini solves it! I even have 10fps with the free drivers. Yeah! Should there be any sounds or music?

Nice, it works now. But two problems remain: 1. cmake complains that boost is missing, but it compiles. I have version 1.34.1 and I cleared the cache twice. simon@simonpc:~/Projekte/orxonox/trunk$ cmake . -- Check for working C compiler: /usr/bin/gcc -- Check for working C compiler: /usr/bin/gcc -- ...

Yes I did. And it seems to load a lot of stuff before it crashes.

Now I checked out revision 1700 of the data repository, but like that it just misses an other material.

Output: http://nopaste.org/p/aIhRuueaM

Please document the dependencies of the trunk :-/

SIGABRT at startup (missing material?)

I can't run orxonox on any of my systems. It crashes at startup on my Ubuntu 8.04 and Debian Lenny (Testing) machine. Trunk rev 1492, Data rev 1763 Do I need a special revision of the data repo? Texture: bar2a.tga: Loading 1 faces(PF_A8R8G8B8,800x80x1) with 5 hardware generated mipmaps from Image. I...

Blender 2.46 & second Open Movie

A short update from the Blender Community: The second open movie "Big Buck Bunny" has been released yesterday. While creating this movie many new Blender features have been implemented or improved. Very interesting stuff, like hair and fur simulation, approximate ambient occlusion, enhanced texture ...

Are you talking about this error: "The following error occurred while trying to extract file(s) to the Python egg cache"?

Today I tired to edit the Debian HowTo... but it hardly showed up. About 4 reloads are needed to see it and none of my edits worked. :-/

Open Source 3D Scroller: AstroMenace

I found an open source (GPL) 3D scroller game from an Ukrainian indy game-dev company. I have played some levels. It looks nice. It's mature and has some nice features like ship configuration and tuning. But the gamplay is boring in my opinion. Just as an input for all orxonox devs... http://www.you...

Very nice, especially your textures. A lot of nice details and aged materials.
