Tardis uses a - more or less - standard linux installation and the average user should not have to install any software. For that reason we had the ISG install Ogre - and a few other libs - on a system wide level. Aha that's why the tardis hack in cmake files, because the link to libraries is alway...

About trunk revision 790
Does every revision have a log?? revision 790 actually has 94 MB!!! while the last one only had 4.5 MB. what is new there? I am still trying to install orxonox on macOS, although it has already cost me much more time than design and make the HUD. Today, in the train I got following questions: The CM...

Okay, thanks for all of your answers :D Last semester, I just wanted the HUD to work, but didnt care whether the HUD looks smart. (Something that doesnt work is useless, it doesnt matter how cute it looks) Actually, in the last version, all attributes (like position, color) of every single element w...

Semitransparent, and field of view are the important part. Compared to older aircrafts which had no HUD, the pilot was force to look down to glance at his instruments, thus removing his attention from a main action. The player has to look for information he needs, it doesnt matter whether these inf...

Well, since 6 months I didn't know how you guys understand the word "HUD" !! In my opinion, the better it looks, the more distracting it is. The old version is the ugliest one, but everything is clear there. And what is mandatory in a HUD? I would say somebody who has written this game, doesn't need...

CMAKE
After the success on tardis computers at ETH, I decided to relook at my mac why orxonox doesnt work on it. The reason seems to be in cmake. I want to know whether anybody using windows has succeed installing orxonox. I changed some paths in cmake files, but it doesnt work so far. Nico seems having m...

I actually tried to follow the introduction we received two weeks ago on the mac. But I couldn't even install ogre on it. Now I am a little bit confused, because I downloaded "OgreSDK", which can work alone. I also downloaded "Ogre.framework", which I only have to link into my .mm file and it works....

HUD
Project: HUD Journal: 6/2/2008: I am working on another HUD version, what do you think of this concept: it wont be many separate parts over the whole screen like previous ones. I will try to paint few elements into one single module, tell me what you think about that idea. Here is an example. 30/10:...

Well, the problem about this star system is that anybody else, better said anybody normal, would not know that these names are star names. They would get confused :D Another idea would be to use the 8 planets in sun system (without earth since it's on a higher level than the other 8 ). The problem i...
