Re: Crash logs
Actually I am in the process of cleaning up (at the moment in the pickups module) but since I'm not done yet and at the moment it's a bit of a mess (I had to change some things) I have not committed anything, yet. ;) @The Jo I can't say with 100% certainty, but I would expect the problems you are re...

Re: hardware related bug
I probably had to open the hardware drivers tool and enable the proprietary drivers there, but apart from that I don't think so.mozork: did you have to do anything special in order to install those drivers ?

Re: hardware related bug
I have ati, too, tough none of the problems you mentioned. I'm using the proprietary drivers and 3d acceleration is working fine. But the performance of ati graphics cards on ubuntu could very well be depending on the type of graphics card. As far as I am aware there are always problems with full su...

Licensing
I'm currently looking into licensing, or more precisely the licenses for the stuff we're using and whether we know who the authors are, which brings me to my first point. 1) I would appreciate it if anyone could take a quick look at the AUTHORS file in our data_extern directory and verify that his w...

Re: Rocket-Ticket Questionthread (... haha)
That is an error you get, when your data directory-path is set incorrectly.
Try using ccmake instead of cmake, then there should be a variable to set the data directory, there you put the absolute path of your data directory then save and generate, compile and it should work.

I'm looking forward to it.
You can add them with the command.

Re: Gametype: Dynamicmatch
I just tried to compile your branch and there seem to be some files missing, could it be that you forgot to add them to svn? e.g. GametypeStaticMessage doesn't seem to exist.

Re: Gametype and XML parameters
I think one could also think of some of the parameters as mere suggestions of the level designer, while the user has a higher priority and his settings override those set in the level file.

Re: Gametype and XML parameters
As a matter of fact, I thought about this, too, yesterday when I was talking to Mathis (he's creating a level). I think it makes sense for gametypes to be (to some degree) configurable, e.g. Deathmatches can have different killcounts to be achieved before the game is over. It also makes sense to be ...

Re: One hundred paper cuts
I've thought about this, too and I loved the idea when I stumbled upon it on ubuntu.org and in my opinion it's a superb idea. I absolutely think it's worth collecting these little annoyances to address them when there is time. But at the moment the user interface is still so raw that I don't see muc...

Re: Communication
That could be a PPS project for next semester. :D I agree with a lot of points you raise, I especially think, that to gain momentum (through external support and participation) our website will have to become more interactive and more connected. And here comes the "But": But I for one have more than...

Re: PPS Projects for HS09
I talked to my colleague abut new tickets (he's a former pps attender) and he helped me get some new (additional ideas): - Improved flying. This means: Formations (for group-flight), special-'moves' and generally think of ideas to make flying more exciting. - New content. Levels, quests, background,...
