Maybe we would get some more space for the menu, if "Orxonox" would be placed into the white part. But then he would have to change the color.... I don't know...

Thx @ patrick for upgrading.

I have merged most of the draft into our page. Now I'm waiting for the images of the main menu.

@hofzge: very sad, but I could still steal some of their CSS code :P

I think the Crystal Space guys had (or have) exactly the same problems. Before 0.9x they had BSP support. But they couldn't add their advanced features to bsp maps, so they dropped the support for it completely (it looks like that to me). An other benefit is, that without bsp, they can use one fully...

Looks great! Please add your evaluation to: http://dev.orxonox.net/wiki/3DEngineEvaluation

Many Linux distribution have ogre packages too. But I don't know if they aren't outdated.

Crystalspace status report:

The Debian (unstable) and Ubuntu (feisty) package (it's the same) for crystalspace is outdated and mispackaged. I reported one bug to ubuntu.

I tried to make a basic tutorial: http://www.crystalspace3d.org/main/Walktest_Tutorial

but 'walktest' does not work.

A quick javascript hack to hide certain parts of a page on demand: http://people.ee.ethz.ch/~wenners/files/orx_draft1/hide_test.html In the final version I'll check the url. If it is a user page, it hides all the stuff we don't want on a user page. This solution is not very flexible, but solves our ...

Simple solutions are good solutions. I really don't want to change the trac source. I didn't take a closer look at the template system yet, but the menu seems to be defined as text and CSS code (no images). That means it could look anything we like (and I'm able to code). But there are just too many...

New Orxonox Web Page

The new orxonox web page will be placed inside Trac (the wiki), so everyone can change it and add content. Trac will be updated soon, so we get template support. The plan: https://dev.orxonox.net/attachment/wiki/simonhofmann/IMGP1158.JPG https://dev.orxonox.net/attachment/wiki/simonhofmann/IMGP1159....

But please discuss the new engine somewhere else. This topic is about "New webpage task force". Thanks!

I'll arrive at 20:00 @ Oerlikon.

A link that we will need:
http://trac.edgewall.org/wiki/TracInter ... tomization

"Since release 0.11, Trac is using Genshi as the templating engine."... maybe we should update.

maybe useful too:
