My opinion on web pages in general: simple is beautiful! (and usable) Most pages on the net are crap and I would prefer if they would offer a text dump of the whole page which I could grep. The orxonox page needs some stars in the background, a nice header (the current one is fine) and one horizonta...

For me too.

BTW: Google does not index our wiki pages!

I think it's because of the uncertified SSL certificate. We have to fix that before moving our main content to the wiki.

After I did ("frickel") some make files for some of my projects, I finaly have a clue how the 'autotools hell' works... more or less. Here is a patch for the lua problem. I copied most of it from GNOME Hearts 0.1.3 ( http://www.gnomefiles.org/app.php/Hearts ). They had exactly the same problem. Inde...

An example of a page completely inside Trac. The public wiki pages can look very nice with a good theme. Galleries look good too. But thier Trac version is a little bit newer (0.10 <> 0.9.6).

Ok, maybe that's an even better solution. A nice welcome page (static html), including the news php-script. And all the links lead to the content in the trac-wiki (or the forum).

I'm motivated to create this page. (x)html, css, java-script, php, ruby, python and sql knowledge is present.

I'm motivated to help! We should remove the webpage completely in my opinion and move all the content into the wiki. Maybe we can even move the website design or use some images for a new wiki theme. The current webpage structure sucks anyway... This way, much more people can (and will) contribute t...

I don't think changing the engine is a good decision for this project. Of course less bugs, a good documentation and a big community are great, but: - Most open source engines have all the features that we'll ever need already implemented. So what coding challenges will be left for us and the studen...

Better late than never... my answers: 1. What should be a strategic long term goal of Orxonox. To create an open source game which is attractive to play and fun to develop. 2. What would be your goals for Orxonox in the next semester. I don't think changing the engine is a good decision for this pro...

Some of our object textures are way too big (1024x1024 or 512x512). Just resizeing them could also help.
