The last one (retrospectiva) looks nice and at first glance seems to have everything we would need.
Redmine looks quite nice, too, and seems to have a lot of neat features.

Re: Release Planning
There's no timetable, yet but we have some (incomplete) TODO list, here: http://www.orxonox.net/wiki/ReleaseTODO Most of the tasks are not yet assigned. Also there's another topic where we talked about the upcoming release: http://forum.orxonox.net/viewtopic.php?f=24&t=439 I haven't had time yet, to...

Re: Content repository
Yes, I would decide against the symbolic links because that would mean more files, it's not so intuitive to create them in windows (and have them then work correctly on linux) and it may convey a false sense of security because when moving a linked to file on windows it will break and under linux it...

Re: Content repository
Ok, I just tried how well symbolic links work with svn and windows and the conclusion is, that they don't. The symbolic link is replaced by e text file with "link path" in it, path being the relative path to the file it linked to. So in my opinion we should go with the info file instead of symbolic ...

Re: Content repository
In my opinion this data/pool should be there to store the "source" of our content in a well structured manner, so that if someone wants to build upon something in our data repository or wants to enhance something, he can look in the pool and find all the necessary files there. To that end I think it...

Re: Content repository
Just to summarize the ideas for the data/pool and to make things a little more concrete and move them along.. Use game/data/pool as path Same directory structure as existing data repository For models one directory per model, with current state, old states, .blend files and screenshot of the model F...

Re: Licensing
So this basically means that we need to have a license for every file we have. But do we also have to have an author specified? I think at the moment almost all the licensing issues are resolved. There is an audio mood (d'n'b) which has some cc by nc licensed audio files in it, but we could just rel...

Re: Orxonox color scheme
I think we should create a color scheme that fits to the game we want to create, and then design the icon accordingly, not the other way around. The two colors we chose should yield a decent contrast, the problem in this case is the ship, which is just grey. I don't think that we can create a color ...

Re: Orxonox color scheme
I agree insofar as that the contrast (especially for the low resolution icons) is insufficient. However i think it is important that the icon reflects the color scheme, thus rather than invert the planet I would try to make the spaceship brighter to achieve better contrast.

Re: Shattered Horizon
From what I've seen a large part of what they're doing seems to be procedural modeling. That's the beauty of it. if you generate most of your models and textures using some random algorithm, you can create huge universes and using the random seeds as identifiers you can reliably create the same thin...

Re: Shattered Horizon
I agree, seeing how awesome this is, nobody would really care about the missing magnitudes of scale. I have absolutely nothing against making the planets in Orxonox small. They were tiny in Spore and I didn't care either. But wouldn't implementing this procedural stuff mean some major changes to Orx...

Re: Orxonox color scheme
Ok, rounded the corners a bit, and added some nonsensical decoration.
Also the second image is the color scheme I used.

Re: Orxonox color scheme
I split the topics, to keep things separate. That was just something I hacked up in 10 minutes, so I'll play with some "textures" for the border and try to make it a little rounder... About the Orx. I think it only makes sense to include that color in the color scheme if either Orx isn't too rare fo...

Re: Color schemes
I must say, I like where this is going.
I tried to go in that direction a bit (also inspired by this picture: http://joejesus.deviantart.com/art/Arrival-81083232 )
This is what came out. Better, worse? And if either, what could make it better?
