Re: Color schemes

More earnestly, I'd be very interested in some pictures that express in which direction you want the orxonox look to go!

Orxonox color scheme

This topic has been split form the Color schemes topic.
On a related note, Felix, Beni and I experimented a little with a general color scheme for Orxonox, here is what we came up with:

Re: Redesign of Orxonox website

DokuWiki doesn't look too bad (except maybe that it uses textfiles as storage and doesn't support MySQL). Making Mediawiki look the way we want shouldn't be too difficult, though. It has a lot of features is well supported and doesn't seem bloated. DokuWiki and Tiki Wiki (the latter especially) seem...

I like it a lot. The first image could actually pass as an icon. :D

Re: Color schemes

Regarding how to reasonably define guidelines for races/factions, I think we could borrow some of how it is done from the Tang Icon Theme Guidelines http://tango.freedesktop.org/Tango_Icon_Theme_Guidelines (especially regarding color scheme guidelines) I think clear guidelines would help in creating...

Re: Gametype: Last Man Standing

Nice, I like it. :D One thing that bugged me, though: I can fly through the asteroids. ;) Adding some collisionshapes could prevent that. And sometimes I die for no apparent reason. Probably that's intentional, to discourage hiding, but some message as to why I died would be nice. Some respawn delay...

I just moved

to effects, since they're billboards used for the pickups.

Re: Content repository

That is my concern as well. Especially if we want to enforce content reuse, we're bound to have lots of textures and materials that are used by many (or at least some) models and then having a folder per model is not really feasible. I suppose we can't just link the texture and material files into t...

Re: Redesign of Orxonox website

I looked at some of the other systems and it seems that Trac really is the best (non commercial) system regarding SVN. WebSVN doesn't look bad either, though.

Re: Redesign of Orxonox website

I agree, trac definitely has its limits. To me the most important feature of trac has been the SVN browser, to look at diffs and commits. Tickes are certainly useful, milestones could be useful if we used them more actively. The same goes for a bugtracker, while we don't need it at the moment I coul...

Re: Licensing

Also some of the files we use are released under the condition of attribution and I'm not sure whether it would be sufficient to just mention them without stating which files exactly have been created by them. The file by Openarena, however seem much less specific than ours is, so perhaps we could b...

Re: Licensing

So I've dug trough all the commit messages that I could find and added the one that added the file to our svn repository as the author of that file in the AUTHORS file. Whenever I was not certain, whether the one adding the file was actually the author of it, I appended a little question mark. As a ...
