thx :)

Maybe we would get some more space for the menu, if "Orxonox" would be placed into the white part. But then he would have to change the color.... I don't know...

My brother considered all your points and even read the forum to really get what we are looking for.

Here is another design he proposes. It even has a similar look than our forum. We may even change the forum to a style like that (would be easy)

What do you guys think?

Wow. your brother is really skilled! Thanks for this fine draft. I especially like the the way Orxonox is written - old-skool gaming.

For my taste the upper border is a little to high (the site is starting in the middle of the screen). I would narrow the head of the design (planet and stars) so that the nice Orxonox title and the page itself gets more focus. I think half of the space would be sufficient.

To adjust the forum style to match the page would be awesome!

Thanks very much to you both doing this, and litte-brother-of-beni: welcome to the orxonox-crew :D

Looks cool! I like it :)

@Patricks proposal: Maybe something like that would be suitable? (sorry @ benis brother for cutting your design ;)):

Looks great! But as patrick said, the upper border is much too high.
Maybe he could use some fake transparency effects to overlap the background and the header, like in our forum.

@patrick: I hope these are really plugins and not hacks. ;)
We already have TrackNav, isn't it? (including a css bug since the last update) I looked at the Screenshots and the Image plugin. They look fine, but destroy all benefits of a wiki, because they get their images from a specific folder only.

My gallery solution: TracMacros in a table inside a special style <div>. Not a beautiful solution, but anyone could add an image or remove old ones.
Trac can resize them without any plugin: [[Image(photo.jpg, 120px)]]
Of course we could write our own macro for that...

The news flash looks good. A new macro with a new style.

All the other plugins are not really in the scope of my task ;)

Okay. My brother just made three suggestions:

Suggestion 1

Suggestion 2

Suggestion 3

What do you like better?

I am in favor of version 1. I don't like the white.

Nr. 1 is great, looks way better than with the white. Real nice design by the way!

I, too, favor sample1. My brother said though, that there could be a problem with the buttons in the transparent area. I don't know what he meant exactly though.

He also mentioned, that if he would have the code of the page, he could do much more cooler stuff. But I don't know if it's possible to give it to him.

We should get to an end and put the website online. We shouldn't change the site during the time, where PPS students check it out.. so we should do it before....

Pretty! I vote for ver 1. I would suggest to perhaps cut half of the planet so there is more space for the actual page.

Good work! :D

#1 is the best suggestion, but why is there a transparent white layer above the orxonox header and fine boxes and lines on it? Bug or feature?

....send me the pictures and I'll build the template.

It would be nice for future changes, if your brother could send us the "source" files too. psd, xcf, svg or whatever he uses.
