v0.0.3 Tag
What about making a 0.0.3 tag right now before Oli's and my branches get merged back?
We both have some quite new features (threading, orxonox cast and rewriting of some the input stuff) that have not been extensively tested.

Re: v0.0.3 Tag
i think its a good idea. however i have some bugfixes in my branch which should be merged into the new tag.
i would have to look these things up and merge them back to trunk before we create the tag...
what does anyone else think?

Re: v0.0.3 Tag
I fully agree to the bugfix merges. Can you merge them seperately? I know it's not very convenient, but for the sake of the tag please do so.

Re: v0.0.3 Tag
I think that's a great idea. Mostly because it is so much playable now. It definitely deserves a tag.

Re: v0.0.3 Tag
I hope this wasn't sarcasm because I would really agree if I compare it to 0.0.2.
Oli just thought of another important point for v0.1: some sort of a setup menu for various options and especially the key bindings.
Furthermore unloading should work properly plus a few more small things. Then we can call it a day (or rather more than two years for that matter ).

I'm sorry that I so often make jokes so nobody detects when I'm serious .1337 wrote:I hope this wasn't sarcasm because I would really agree if I compare it to 0.0.2.

I think we are finally able to agree on what a "release" (v0.1) should be like and therefore I agree with your important points on what should be in v0.1.
I really think that we have quite some decent Gameplay at the moment. So I was really serious and I agree completely to create such a tag.

Re: v0.0.3 Tag
what? 0.0.3 = 0.1? did I missed some math lessons or what?
well you can tag whatever you want if you think it makes sense
but I don't understand why it will be less playable after the merge?

I have no idea how you got to theses conclusions ^^x3n wrote:what? 0.0.3 = 0.1? did I missed some math lessons or what?

0.0.3 is in fact not 0.1 and no, it will be even more fun to play after the merge

Re: v0.0.3 Tag
I didn't read everything, was just wondering why everyone was talking about 0.1 suddenly.
And if it will be more fun, whats the point about a tag before the merge? I mean, I don't really care, tags are cheap, but I don't understand the reason.
But don't understand this as a refusal, I love tags. As long as you're not considering a new tag mailinglist and force me to join too

Re: v0.0.3 Tag
Hmm, that's an idea... Beni, can we have a "New tag mailing list"?
No, seriously, I did the merge yesterday, but not the new stuff. Because the new stuff doesn't actually improve the game a lot ^^
But I've merged all the fixes and small bug tickets that have been resolved in the core4 branch.
As soon as we think the trunk is ok and got the latest fixes, we will make the 0.0.3 tag
And after that I suppose I shall be done with the input stuff and create myself a new branch to address the media repository problem for which I'm writing a thread here right now.
