Huh? .bsp levels are compiled with GTK Radiant (which uses q3map2). Do you mean "Load a .bsp level into Orxonox", or do you really want to make a new bsp editor? ;)

You're guessing right. The task is not to compile a new level but to acctually make it possible to load a bsp-level into the engine (or somewhere there).

And as it seems there really are no tutorials for this and the Crystalspacers want you to make levels via Blender...
I know there must be some way, but I have not yet found it.

It really looks like there is nothing like a BSP importer. There is however a class called BSP Tree, which should actually be something like a BSP-file or something. Not really sure how to interpret this.
I guess, the information in a BSP file equals the information in the BSP Tree class of Crystal Space.
The thing a level editor does when creating a BSP-file, seems to be a similar process as the process of working in that BSP Tree of Crystal Space. Strangely a level editor needs hours to create a BSP file, somehow Crystal Space won't be able to do this runtime. I wonder if I interpreted that correctly.

Long time no see,

I built ogre on my gentoo box - which is already something - but I have not been able to run the demo programs... IIRC their is some configuration to be done.
Apart from that, I saw that there is a BSP demo, could be useful, but I haven't been able to look much further.

Out of pure curiosity: what is expected to be done from my side?

cheers
nico

Nah, hofzge..
He should be able to present something on the think tank. We want to know if we should use Ogre for the new graphic engine and if it's possible to create a stable base until the start of the PPS to build Orxonox on top of it.

The webpage draft is great!

But please discuss the new engine somewhere else. This topic is about "New webpage task force". Thanks!

As for that: I have found no contact data on lisen. I have looked on every page and found nothing. If you know a mail address, send it to me. I am very sorryfor the delay because of that.
This is also an important point for us: If someone wants to contact anyone of the programmers, their mail addresses should be on the webpage and easily accessible (at least in my opinion).
