[video-tutorial] Studio-Styled Rendering

Post by Nowic » Wed Jun 11, 2008 8:25 pm

We already have a bunch of nice models. But most of them are presented poorly. We make default renderings with blue background and poor lighting or blender screen shots.

This video tutorial shows how we could improve the presentation of our models with very little effort. Especially useful for pps presentations.

Video Tutorial: Showcase your 3D Models with a Basic Studio-Styled Setup

My first try: http://wenner.ch/files/public/simon/orx ... er_800.jpg

You need Blender 2.46 to do this tutorial because it uses approximate ambient occlusion. (an approximation of a raytracer)
Ubuntu Hardy user can get it from here: https://launchpad.net/~wgrant/+archive
Debian user from experimental: http://packages.debian.org/source/experimental/blender

Happy Blending!

Thanks, seems simple enough... and especially worth the effort, if we /you can present our/your models in more appealing way.

cheers

BOFH Excuse #212: Of course is doesn't work. We've performed a software upgrade.
