Hi and thanks for the feedback. It is supposed to be a small escape pod. My intention was to create a ship which the player might fly in the beginning, because I think the ASSFF is too powerful for starting. In general, plan to create a series of ships, that look similar. Since there is no useful exporter for Blender 2.5, I will concentrate on modelling for now.

cool :) is that some kind of hovercraft for missions on a planet's surface?

It indeed looks similar to the hover we had in 2004, but the drives were fully rotatable. :D

I did not think about the thrust technology. My intent was to go over my old pirate ship and I indeed thought of the hover back then. The model you see has 55k faces. I will soon post about the face count and Blender modifiers to decimate faces.

Oh yes, and I designed the hover parts in a way that they are separate from the main model and can be rotated freely.

Another ship with large thrusters. If I change the cockpit into a large bridge it looks like a giant transporter.
